Do you let life happen or do you create it?
In my viewing of news and articles this morning, what has come up is: are you a follower or a leader? Do you create your life or do you let life happen to you? It is a choice we all have to make, in every moment. For some of us, the choice is easier to make than others.
For whom the choice is hard, they are frightened by the prospect of change of any kind and they find it easier to be told who to live and then abide by those rules. They become submissive to a higher authority and may follow it through out their lives with ever questioning it. I then ask, is this really living? Is this really living in the way we were created to experience the gift of life we were given?
While taking full responsibility for the experiences you have in life is challenging and sometimes even daunting, the rewards can be greater than just coasting along to another authority’s agenda. Being able to question and change as we go through life are part of the freedoms that are inherently ours when we incarnated here. With change being the only real constant in this world, do we resist it through rigid rules, or do we adapt and move with the changes occurring in humanity?
Those who are resistant to change will say, without rigid adherence to rules and laws, we would have no moral order. What is forgotten is the universal moral rule that we bring with us into this world, called the “Golden Rule”; and is present in every form of religious and spiritual belief. It basically says: “Treat others as you treat yourself.” When we are in alignment with our higher self and we take responsibility for creating our life. we live this rule full-heartedly because we know it means to do no harm to others because to do so means harming ourselves. So, even without manmade rules and laws; if we are aware, awake to, conscious of who we truly are and that we are connected to ALL things (God Source, Universal Consciousness) we will act morally.
If you are reading this, I assume you are one of those who are no longer resisting change, yet may still struggle with it. You may also struggle with those who are stuck in resistance of change. I would say to you now, do not worry about them, and do not try to convince them because they may hear you yet may not be capable of shifting their perspective at this point in their lives. Instead, focus on yourself, get in touch with your authenticity, your highest self, and begin taking full responsibility for the life you are creating for yourself. Understand that, even if someone else is 99.9% responsible for something that happens, by being present in the situation, you have .1% responsibility - own it. Begin listening and taking care of your inner voice, and express it openly to the world. Take back the energy you’ve given away to others for naught, and use it more productively to bring your own magic to light.*
